Stress & Prayers

I'm so with the Zebra!
I seriously think I've been on a crazy roller coaster (of emotions) ride. I feel when things start to look up, BAM!!! You just got kicked in the stomach! I'm not the one to complain or whine on how life is. I know plenty of people that have it worse then me, but I feel like I'm done with it all and would rather live rest of my days under a rock.

Ralph and I are still taking care of his sister Steph. And it's getting bad. This poor girl has been living in hell for such a long time and it seems like we are starting to go in the downward spiral with her. Its been 3 weeks since her husband has passed away and reality is setting in. She is abusing her "medication" and is completely out of everything. So we are now starting to see her true colors. She is starting to have withdrawls because she can't get anything until next week, so we  now have to deal with her and her health. I'm telling you, it is the worst thing to see, someone you care and love killing themselves slowly and there is nothing you can do about it.

Well I think yesterday was the last straw that broke the camels back. She got into a fender bender. Got arrested for driving while under the influences of drugs. We are not sure if her car is completly totaled or not. She is having withdrawls and is starting to get sick. LITERALLY SICK. So we are now watching her 24/7 and if it gets to the point where we need to take her to the ER, we will of course. But its just the whole fact that when someone is on Xanex and Methadone at the same time, and they are having withdrawls, it get UGLY!! And its a cold hard fact for Ralph & I because we have never been in that kind of world ever.

**Sighs**

So we are dealing with all of this.
#1. She has no car.
#2. She has no medication.
#3. She is starting to get sick cause she is withdrawling.
#4. She doesn't want to get help.
#5. We are all stuck between a rock and a hard place.

We finally gave her the ultimatum last night. Because she has been on those drugs for so long, she DOES need them to get her through the day. To help her ween off of them, Ralph said that he will help her by administer her intake. Therefore she will not abuse the drugs. He will have her medication locked up and will give them to her 1 pill a day or as prescribed. She is not allowed to drink alcohol nor bring it in our house. She is also not allowed to be hanging out with the so called "Friends" that she has been with the last day and half. Because she didn't come home the other night and we were worried sick! He told her if she can follow these rules, and lets us help her, she is more then welcome to stay. If not, she needs to pack her bags and move out. Thank goodness their mom was in town and agreed to the terms.
The sad thing about this is we don't think she really wants the help but she doesn't have anywhere to go. She doesn't want to stay with her mom or dad because she knows that it will pretty much be a prison for her. And also, she doesn't really get along with her parents. We told her that she also needs to set up counseling sessions and needs to get a job. We told her we will provide everything she needs but under those conditions. One mess up and she is out!!! No second chance for her. This is her last chance.
I can honestly say this is the most harsh reality I have been going through EVER. And it is breaking my heart to see someone like Steph going through what she is going though. Knowing that you really can't force them to do anything is a complete slap in the face. People do not understand that you can't make someone do something if they don't want to. You just can't. And its so frustrating to go through it! We all see how life will be grand, but they see it as life without drugs is no life at all because they love the high. It disgusts me!
So all of you that are reading this. Please pray. Please send out the good vibes and pray for this girl to see the light. She has so much potential and she really is a great person to be around with. Please pray that she will overcome all of the demons that she is dealing with. To know that there are so many people out there that do care and that we are not out go get her. Please pray for her health and that she can overcome any obstacle that is in front of her. Please pray for their whole family and that one day they can all reunite as one again.
...Thanks ♥
